The red earthenware clay warms up the gray stucco exterior. The fired clay has held up perfectly through twenty-four winters so far. We made the chimney pot, ridge cap, rake detail, shingles, and vent covers with clay dug from the site. We were going to make the roof tile too, but decided 40 squares was too much. The roof is made of concrete tile.
